Diane Louise Barraclough,

Managing Director, Academic Programs

Diane Louise Barraclough has over 20 years experience in international executive education and program development.  Specializing in business education and intercultural communication, she has developed and managed programs for business schools and companies in Europe, East Asia and the United States.

Ms. Barraclough’s extensive experience in higher institutes and foreign countries allow her to successfully navigate among various cultures and academic content areas.   Her areas of expertise are: identifying and selecting faculty members; coordinating curriculum and administrative tasks between faculty and administrators, hiring assistants, student supervisors, and coordinators; designing Handbooks with schedules, program outlines, rules & regulations and visa information; working with Immigration Officers and International Student Services to ensure strict compliance with regulations for F-1/J-1 visas and the SEVIS system; securing facilities for all classes, key-note speakers, presentations, and extra-curricular sessions; and overseeing Business Site Visit programs.

Ms Barraclough’s projects include: managing MBA, International Executive MBA, DBA and BBA programs in Tokyo and New York for ISG, ISEG and ISM in Paris, International Christian University and Sophia University in Tokyo, and St John’s University in New York; developing online distance learning programs in the financial services industry for client companies in the US and India; organizing conferences and events; and compiling essential words for multilingual CD recordings in 8 different languages. 
Ms Barraclough teaches Business English and Cross-Cultural Communication.  She has a Masters Degree in Languages & Literature and is fluent in English, French and Japanese with working knowledge of Spanish and Italian, and is a beginner in Chinese and Korean.

Christopher McCarthy,

Managing Director, Sales and Marketing

Christopher McCarthy has more than 20 years of business experience working in a wide variety of industries including entertainment, information technology, telecommunications, consulting, outsourcing, education and youth marketing.  Working primarily in sales and marketing, Mr. McCarthy has signed deals as large as $1.2 Billion for IBM and worked for companies with as little as 5 associates while at Youth Marketing International.  Mr. McCarthy is also an innovator - bringing fresh ideas to open new markets and create operational efficiencies.
Mr. McCarthy first became involved in academia as a coach and advisor for the “Business Mission Export” program while working for the International School of Management.  He helps multi-national college students apply their academic business and marketing knowledge to real world situations while studying at St. John's University in New York City.  In the course of his mentoring, Mr. McCarthy realized there was a need to help foreign college students experience the unique academic and business environment in the United States.  As a result, he partnered with Diane Louise Barraclough to found International Business Education.

While Mr. McCarthy continues to expand and grow the "Business Mission Export” program he also has a keen teaching interest in marketing, sales, and how to best approach the job search.  His highly regarded "Selling in America" program enlightens foreign students about different sales systems and provides practical sales tools and tips.  Mr. McCarthy also helps students complete their academic journey with seminars and lectures on how to conduct a U.S. based job search with programs such as "Stay in School - at Least Long Enough to Learn How to Find a Job."


Mr McCarthy has been recognized as an Outstanding Young Men of America and has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout. He is involved with the American Marketing Association and the APS Foundation of America.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and is mono-linguistic.
